The clerk records the transactions of the Session, keeps the rolls of membership and attendance, preserves the records, and furnishes extracts from them when required by other governing bodies. The clerk of the session is an elder elected by the session for such term as it may be determined.

Elders serve on the Board of Session for a term of two years (July-June) at Shepherd of the Hill.
SESSION COMMITTEES
According to church bylaws, an individual should be an active member of Shepherd of the Hill to serve on a committee, and shall only serve on one standing committee at a time. Shepherd of the Hill has six standing committees of Session:
ADMINISTRATION
Duties: To plan and manage the overall financial affairs and annual budget of the church and to consult with the pastor in matters affecting the pastor, session, staff, and the congregation. As directed by the session, the committee is responsible for the hiring and review of church employees.
